His guilt injured mind
Was left like a mole in the sun
Tormented and blind
Suffering with limited senses.
The soul's optic vein
Etched till the eyes became dim
The spirit insane.
Until he no longer could tell
What he'd done
But was sentenced to feel
The warm sun
As the gnawings of hell
